Located in the former POD space in Steely Library, the new Information Technology Solutions Center (ITSC) is designed to help faculty, staff, and students meet their technology needs through professional training, state-of-the-art innovations, and customer-centered service.

Organizational Changes at NKU
As part of the Commonwealth of Kentucky's 6% budget cut for all public universities, Academic Affairs at NKU was required to cut $3,085,447 from its recurring budget and reallocate approximately $2.4 million.
To help achieve these reduction goals, the Professional and Organizational Development Center (POD) was eliminated effective June 30, 2008. However, the space and equipment are still available to the faculty and staff, and POD's functions are being absorbed by other units.
- Technical training and support – The Office of Information Technology (OIT) will be expanding their campus service offerings to include Blackboard training and support, technology training for faculty and staff, consulting on technology-related issues, and media-related services. For more information you can stop by the Information Technology Solutions Center (ITSC) located in the former POD area.
- Online resources – The 24/7 tutorials (e.g., Atomic Learning), Teaching Tips, Faculty Mentoring and other links to instructional aids and resources on the Web will be maintained by IT.
- Instructional design – The university will shift instructional design resources from POD to the academic colleges, consistent with best practice models that recommend a team approach built around designers with discipline-specific expertise. Arts & Sciences, Education & Human Services, and Nursing & Health Professions have experimented with this decentralized approach at NKU with excellent results.
