David Ametrano is Senior Associate Director of the Professional and Organizational Development Center at Northern Kentucky University. He earned a Ph.D. in Personality Psychology from the University of Michigan, where he taught in the Psychology Department, as a graduate student and a lecturer, for six years. Dr. Ametrano worked at the University of Michigan Center for Research on Learning and Teaching for eleven years. While in that position, he designed and instituted a program for all new faculty in the College of Engineering, providing pedagogical training as well as the social and professional support needed by new faculty. Dr. Ametrano also worked in Academic Affairs at the UM School of Dentistry, doing faculty development, working on curricular reform, and assisting with the ADA accreditation process. He has worked for Northwestern University Medical School and the Mathematical Association of America as a program evaluator, and has coauthored two book chapters on program evaluation. His most recent position before coming to NKU was Director of Learning and Teaching at Quincy University.
