GPO ACCESS is the main internet portal through which the American public can identify and gain access to all the electronic publications from federal departments, agencies, offices, and commissions. Publications include books, journals, databases (both one-way and interactive) services (such as passports), and electronic news alerts. The basic GPO ACCESS portal is supported by the Firstgov.gov search engine. The Board of Governors Federal Reserve System of 12 District Banks also provides a wealth of information through their databases, publications, electronic newsletters, and system-wide search engine, FRED.
